Richmond has USTA Leagues in all USTA divisions. Contact the USTA Area League Coordinators (ALC) listed below:

USTA Adult Division Leagues

Local USTA Adult Division leagues offer team competition for both men and women. Team matches involve both singles and doubles. League winners advance to the Virginia District Adult Tournament in July. The Adult Division also offers the opportunity to advance to Sectional and National tournaments for all levels.

Richmond Adult League

This league has both men’s and women’s levels from 2.5 – 5.0. Most men’s matches are played on Sundays, and most women’s matches are played Saturdays. The season runs from early April to the end of June.

Richmond Men’s Weeknight Adult League

league currently has 3.5 and 4.0 levels. Matches are played on Weeknights and the season runs from April through June.

Richmond Women’s Adult Weekday League

This league offers 2.5 - 4.5 levels for women. Matches are played Weekdays. The season typically runs from May to early July.

USTA Adult Mixed Doubles Division Leagues

Local USTA Adult Mixed Doubles Division leagues currently offer team competition for 6.0, 7.0, 8.0, 9.0, and 10.0 levels. Mixed Doubles leagues use a combined rating format. For example, a 4.0 man and a 4.0 woman may play together as an 8.0 mixed doubles team. Local League winners advance to the USTA Virginia District Adult Mixed Tournament in June. The Mixed Division also offers the opportunity to advance to Sectional and Eastern Regional tournaments.

Adult Mixed Doubles League

This league currently has leagues for 6.0, 7.0, 8.0, 9.0 and 10.0 levels. The season typically runs from early January through the end of March. Matches are played indoors. League winners advance to the USTA Virginia District Adult Mixed Tournament in June. The Adult Mixed Division also offers the opportunity to advance to Sectional and Eastern Regional tournaments.


Senior Mixed Doubles League

This is a Senior Division Mixed Doubles league for players 50 and older. This league currently has 6.0, 7.0, and 8.0 levels. The season typically runs from July through August. League winners advance to the USTA Mid Atlantic Adult Mixed Sectional Tournament in September.

Commonwealth Mixed Doubles League

The Commonwealth League is a Virginia only league, and currently offers team competition for 6.0, 7.0, and 8.0 levels. The season typically runs from mid-August through November. League winners advance to the Commonwealth Championship in January.

USTA Senior Division Leagues in Richmond

Local USTA Senior Leagues offer team competition for both men and women age 50 and over. (Note: You may play seniors if you turn 50 during the season’s calendar year.) Senior Division leagues play doubles only. There are no singles matches in USTA Senior Division leagues. Local Senior League winners advance to the Virginia District Senior Tournament in August. The Senior Division also offers the opportunity to advance to Sectional and National tournaments. Richmond also has Super Senior Leagues for players 60 and over, and Super Duper Seniors Leagues for players 65 and over.

The Senior Men’s League currently has leagues for 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0 levels. The season typically runs from July to August.

Senior Women’s and Super Senior Women’s Leagues

The Senior Women’s League currently has leagues for 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0 levels. The season typically runs from July to August.

USTA Combo Doubles Division Leagues in Richmond

Combo Doubles is the fastest growing division of USTA leagues. Combo Doubles offers team competition for both men’s and women’s teams and uses a combined rating format. For example, a 3.5 woman and a 4.0 woman can play together on a 7.5 Women’s Combo team. Combo Doubles currently has District and Regional tournament in many USTA sections across the country. The Richmond Combo Doubles league was the first of it’s kind in the entire Mid-Atlantic Section. Combo Leagues have started in many areas in the Mid-Atlantic Section, so opportunities to advance to Sectional or Regional tournaments should happen in the near future.

This Richmond Combo Doubles League currently offers leagues for 5.5, 6.5, 7.5, 8.5, and 9.5 levels. The league season is July and August.  Combo Doubles teams have the opportunity to advance to the Virginia District Tournament in October.
